And... we're back. Sort of.

It's funny how your perspective changes as you get older.

Once upon a time, I had an idea for a website. It was going to be a huge repository for everything role-playing. It was going to have sections for every genre and every game system I owned. There were going to be daily polls, and multimedia, and all kinds of goodies. And I was even off to a good start. I had a framework, and banners, and all kinds of nifty things.

Unfortunately, real life found me first. The site never really got past the concept stage.  Updates were few and far between. What was intended to be "a role-playing web site of epic proportions" had become an epic fail. And then the economy collapsed and I couldn't afford to keep the site up and so the Silicon Dragon disappeared.

But recently I found Weebly, which is a nifty little service that provides a modest web presence at no cost and with no ads beyond their branding, and I thought that maybe, even if it was never the huge network I had originally intended it to be, the Silicon Dragon could live on.

So here we are. This time around, I've decided to set my sights a little lower. I'll update as often as time allows, but neither will I make promises that I can't keep. Instead, we'll take it slow and steady and see what happens. And who knows? Maybe, with time, this can become a dream realized. But for now, I'm keeping it small.
